Funding innovative research; providing information and services to Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin lymphoma patients/caregivers. Our mission: eradicate lymphoma and serve those touched by this disease.
Matt Runge, 38, never heard of lymphoma before he was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin follicular lymphoma in 2010. Shortly after being diagnosed, Matt attended one of the Lymphoma Research Foundation`s (LRF) local Ask the Doctor
programs. The program was informative and enabled Matt to make knowledgeable decisions regarding his treatment options.
"I`d recommend that patients get involved with LRF at some level. They do many things to help patients," Matt said. "LRF`s `Ask the Doctor` program is a wonderful educational forum. I wouldn`t have found my doctor without it or been able to make such informed decisions regarding my treatment."
Matt is now in remission from his lymphoma. He is active in the Dallas and Houston chapters of the Lymphoma Research Foundation, where he currently serves as a chapter communications chair and helps to raise awareness of lymphoma and the resources provided by LRF. Matt participates in the annual Dallas Lymphomathon because he knows firsthand the importance of funding lymphoma
research. In addition, he attends many of the Foundation`s local and national educational programs to stay abreast of the latest in lymphoma research and treatments. As a lymphoma survivor, Matt supports LRF`s mission to eradicate
lymphoma and serve those touched by the disease.
