Lisa Reeves, President & CEO, Easter Seals Greater Washington-Baltimore Region says, "What is life if you can't make a difference for somebody and I feel we're able to do that." The American Freedom Foundation has donated $170,000 to the Easter Seals Military Program in the Greater Washington-Baltimore Region, which helps with reintegration issues facing returning veterans. She goes on to say, "The American Freedom Foundation made one and one equal three - exponential impact".
November 2011, the American Freedom Foundation donated $25,000 to Soldier On. John Downing, President and CEO of Soldier On, says "Because of the American Freedom Foundation, we are able to give hope to our Veterans. Most don't know where the next meal is coming from or where they are going to lay their head to sleep at night. Because of our programs, support by the American Freedom Foundation, we provide veterans with both shelter and support within an environment that offers dignity, integrity and, most of all, hope."
Armed Service YMCA:
The American Freedom Foundation has donated significant money to help military families cope with the stress of deployment through programs at the Armed Services YMCA throughout the country. Those donations have gone to support family service programs such as Military Family Month, Operation Outdoors, and Operation Holiday Joy.
In all, the American Freedom Foundation has donated approximately $1.1 million to over 30 beneficiary partner organizations that serve and support out Veterans, military service members and military families since 2005.
