World Animal Protection's mission is to move the world to protect animals.
Since its inception in 1981, World Animal Protection has been addressing
severe animal suffering, which often takes us to remote regions of the world.
Our unique, collaborative approach enables us to create pilot projects that
can be easily sustained and expanded by local organizations, governments and
businesses. We partner with organizations such as the World Health
Organization and are the only international animal welfare organization with
General Consultative Status with the United Nations. The US office is one of
fourteen World Animal Protection offices around the world, leveraging the
strength of a global organization to make impacts locally.
